ORANJESTAD (AAN): Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AUA) successfully organized two townhall meetings to update the airport community about significant upcoming changes at Queen Beatrix International Airport as part of the Gateway 2030 project. The sessions, held in the old U.S. Check-In Hall from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, brought together various partners who operate daily at the airport to receive detailed explanations about the current and upcoming construction phases.

The Townhall Meeting served as a platform for transparent communication, ensuring all partners remain aligned as AUA moves through key phases of its transformation. Attendees received updates on the progress of Gateway 2030, along with what the coming months will mean for daily airport operations. The session also provided insight into upcoming facility changes, the reasons behind the accelerated project timeline, anticipated operational impacts, ongoing construction phases, future plans, and accomplishments achieved so far.

AUA emphasized the importance of collaboration and partnership throughout this transition period, highlighting that the airport community plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient implementation of changes.

“This Townhall Meeting reflects AUA’s commitment to maintaining open and transparent communication,” said Barbara Brown, Chief Revenue Development & Communications Officer at Aruba Airport Authority. Brown continued, “As we implement major improvements to elevate the airport experience, it is essential for our community to stay informed, engaged, and involved.”

These modernization initiatives support AUA’s long-term mission to enhance operational efficiency, improve passenger experience, and strengthen Aruba’s position as a leading regional gateway. AUA expressed gratitude to all partners for their patience and ongoing support as the airport advances through this important transformation, reaffirming its dedication to innovation, service excellence, and an elevated passenger journey.
