Another Elderly Pedestrian Hit by a Vehicle in the Same Week

In the same week that a fatal accident in San Nicolas claimed the life of an elderly pedestrian, a similar incident occurred on Thursday night along the road from Calbas to Kudawecha.

Around 9:00 pm, several Noord police units responded to an emergency call reporting that another pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the incident did not involve a regular car but a black Nissan Double-Cab pickup (A-50221) traveling from Calbas toward Kudawecha and Sabana Liber.

Police quickly called for an ambulance due to the severity of the situation. The male victim was lying injured on the road and appeared to have suffered multiple blows to his body. The area in front of 99 Bar & Restaurant was sealed off, and two ambulance units arrived to provide care.

Traffic investigators interviewed witnesses and spoke with the driver of the pickup involved in the collision.

Paramedics acted immediately, lifting the elderly victim—who was behaving unusually—into the ambulance. Moments later, the ambulance left at high speed with lights and sirens activated, heading directly to the Emergency Department at the hospital.
