Aruba has reached a major milestone in strengthening its Latin American air connectivity with the official launch of Aerolíneas Argentinas’ new direct service between Argentina and Aruba. The inaugural flight departed on January 1, 2026, from Ezeiza International Airport with all 170 seats fully booked, reflecting strong demand from the Argentine market.
An official inauguration ceremony was held on January 8 at Queen Beatrix International Airport, attended by government, aviation, and tourism leaders. Remarks were delivered by Minister of Tourism, Transport and Labor Wendrick Cicilia, Aruba Tourism Authority CEO Ronella Croes, and Aruba Airport Authority Aviation Business Development Executive Jo-Anne Arends. The celebration concluded with a ribbon-cutting and cake-cutting ceremony officially welcoming the airline to Aruba.
Initially announced as a two-month seasonal operation, the route has already been extended through the end of September 2026 due to its strong early performance. Aerolíneas Argentinas operates the service five times per week using a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, offering more than 7,000 seats across 43 flights during the initial season. The route is uniquely structured, connecting Aruba with multiple Argentine gateways simultaneously.

Argentine travelers also rank among Aruba’s highest-value guests, with an average stay of more than eight nights.
Tourism and aviation officials emphasized that the new direct service strengthens Aruba’s presence in Latin America and supports a more diversified and resilient tourism future. Tickets for the route are available through Aerolíneas Argentinas and authorized travel agencies.
