A recent global study by UK-based AllClear Travel Insurance has identified the cruise ports with the most breathtaking arrival views, and three Caribbean destinations—Nassau, Aruba, and St. Maarten—have earned spots in the world’s top 20.
Nassau, Bahamas – 5th Globally
Nassau Cruise Port leads the Caribbean entries, ranking fifth worldwide with an eye-tracking score of 81. Passengers are greeted with panoramic turquoise waters, pastel-colored buildings, and a bustling harbor framed by white-sand beaches. Its recently revitalized waterfront makes Nassau the most-visited Caribbean cruise port.
Oranjestad, Aruba – 6th Globally
Oranjestad Cruise Terminal ranks sixth with a score of 79. Travelers arriving by ship are treated to views of the Dutch Caribbean capital’s colorful facades, calm aquamarine seas, and palm-lined waterfront, with Eagle Beach and iconic divi-divi trees visible from the deck.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten – 20th Globally
St. Maarten’s Dutch-side port in Philipsburg earned 20th place, offering sweeping views of Great Bay’s crescent-shaped shoreline, green hills, and lively Front Street boardwalk. Sailboats, yachts, and pastel storefronts complete the picturesque arrival scene.
AllClear Travel Insurance evaluated ports worldwide using eye-tracking technology to measure which arrival views captured travelers’ attention the most. While Malta’s Valletta Cruise Port topped the global list, the Caribbean proves its appeal with vivid colors, turquoise waters, and vibrant harbors that make cruise arrivals as memorable as the time spent onshore.
