ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Tourism Authority, in partnership with Casa del Mar Beach Resort, recently celebrated an extraordinary milestone with Mr. Demetrio and Mrs. Nina Santoro from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The couple has marked over 50 years of visits to Aruba, a testament to the island’s timeless charm, warm spirit, and lasting friendships.

A Lifetime of Memories

For Mr. and Mrs. Santoro, the bond with Aruba began decades ago and has only grown stronger over time. When asked what kept them coming back year after year, the couple shared five heartfelt reasons:

  • Love at First Sight – The moment they arrived, they knew Aruba was a special place.

  • The People – The kindness and hospitality of Arubans made them feel like part of the family.

  • Beautiful Weather – Sunny days and cooling trade winds have always been a welcoming constant.

  • We Find Everything We Want – Aruba offers the perfect mix of comfort, adventure, and culture.

  • A Lot of Local Friends – Over the years, friendships with locals have turned into lifelong bonds.

“It’s more than a vacation—it’s a part of our lives,” said one of the honorees. “Every year we return, it feels like coming home.”

A Special Ceremony of Gratitude

Ms. Keyttin Silva from the Aruba Tourism Authority and Mrs. Hilary Thode-Jimenez from Casa del Mar Beach Resort were honored to present the Santoros with a special commemorative ceremony. This recognition highlights the couple’s unwavering love and loyalty to the island, whose stories reflect the essence of what makes Aruba truly unique—a place that captures hearts and creates lifelong memories.

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Santoro, for your continued visits and for being part of the Aruba family for over 50 years!
