In a heartwarming community initiative, the Kiwanis Club of Aruba has launched “Bon Bista”, a project dedicated to improving the eye health of children in Aruba. The club partnered with Aruba Vision Center (AVC) to bring this effort to life.
The goal of “Bon Bista” is to provide free eye exams and prescription glasses to children in need across the island. Since its launch, AVC has conducted eye screenings for 36 children, and results revealed that 24 of them required prescription glasses.
These findings highlight the critical importance of early detection and intervention, especially when it comes to vision—a key factor in academic success and child development.
Through this impactful collaboration, Kiwanis and AVC continue to support the children of Aruba by ensuring they have the clear vision they need to thrive.
