The Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), joined by the Aruba Airport Authority (AAA), conducted a series of high-level meetings in Brazil aimed at reinforcing and expanding strategic airline and travel distribution partnerships. The mission, led by ATA CEO Ronella Croes, Latin America Director Jordan Schlipken Croes, and Jo-Anne Arends (AAA), focused on ensuring robust air connectivity between Brazil and Aruba.

Celebrating Momentum with GOL Airlines

One of the highlights was a celebratory meeting with GOL Airlines, which marked a milestone achievement: an 80% load factor on the Brazil–Aruba route. The discussions explored deeper collaboration into 2026 and celebrated GOL’s successful emergence from Chapter 11 restructuring.

The Aruba delegation joined 1,400 GOL employees at a celebratory event that included a motivational address by GOL CEO Celso Ferrer, reinforcing the strong synergy between Aruba and one of Brazil’s leading carriers.

“This partnership is essential for our growth in the Brazilian market,” said ATA’s leadership. “GOL’s success is Aruba’s success.”

Productive Engagements with Copa Airlines, Smile, and Decolar

In addition to GOL, the ATA team held key meetings with:

  • Smile, GOL’s loyalty program, to design targeted promotions for Brazil-based travelers seeking Caribbean experiences.

  • Copa Airlines, to review route performance and explore future opportunities in the Panama-Aruba-Brazil corridor.

  • Decolar, Latin America’s largest OTA, to increase Aruba’s digital visibility and booking presence through tailored campaigns and platform enhancements.

These discussions reinforced Aruba’s commitment to strengthening its market share in Brazil through diversified travel channels and smarter collaborations.

Brazil: A Core Focus in Aruba’s Tourism Strategy

Brazil remains a top-performing source market for Aruba in Latin America, with rising demand for luxury, wellness, and group travel experiences. With direct airlift, robust digital campaigns, and loyalty incentives, ATA is doubling down on its long-term growth strategy.

This mission reflects ATA’s relationship-first approach—focusing on in-person dialogue, performance review, and celebrating milestones with partners that help shape Aruba’s tourism ecosystem.

Aruba: Building Airlift, Loyalty, and Market Growth in Brazil

By aligning closely with airlines, OTAs, and loyalty platforms, Aruba is actively positioning itself as the Caribbean destination of choice for Brazilian travelers. From digital presence to seat capacity, these partnerships pave the way for stronger visitor arrivals and unforgettable travel experiences.
