ORANJESTAD- In a major boost to Aruba’s air connectivity, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will add two additional weekly flights between Amsterdam and Aruba during the 2025-2026 winter season.

Starting December 15, 2025, and running through March 27, 2026, the new flights will operate via Bonaire, expanding Aruba’s access to key European markets. This brings Aruba’s total KLM winter flights to nine per week.

The flights will run on Wednesdays and Sundays, utilizing Airbus A330-200 planes with 264 seats each, providing roughly 7,920 seats for the season. This expansion supports Aruba’s strategy to diversify its tourism markets by attracting high-value visitors from Europe.

Tourism Minister Wendrick Cicilia highlighted the importance of this move, saying it opens doors to long-haul travelers who tend to stay longer and contribute more to the local economy.

Aruba Airport Authority’s Aviation Business Development Executive, Jo-Anne Arends, emphasized the extensive cooperation and preparation involved to accommodate this growth.

Aruba Tourism Authority CEO Ronella Croes noted that this development aligns with their goal of achieving 9% market growth from Europe by 2025, complementing ongoing efforts in North America.

This regional collaboration between Aruba Airport Authority, Bonaire International Airport, and the Ministry of Tourism reflects a commitment to sustainable air service and economic resilience in the Caribbean Dutch islands.
