ORANJESTAD – Aruba’s Minister of Labor, Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, is strengthening ties with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to improve protections for workers and modernize labor regulations in line with global standards.
Following a recent meeting with the ILO’s Caribbean Director, Minister Cicilia confirmed that Aruba will receive technical assistance in three key areas:

Introducing a new Occupational Health and Safety Law

Establishing systems to resolve labor disputes, including potential labor courts or mediation services

Ensuring all labor laws align with international benchmarks
Cicilia stressed the importance of international collaboration in protecting Aruban workers and improving legal frameworks. He reaffirmed that Aruba is committed to a more fair, secure, and transparent labor environment that benefits both employees and employers.
