ORANJESTAD — The Aruba Tourism Authority recently had the distinct honor of recognizing one of its most loyal visitors, Mrs. Rita Schaer, at Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort. Mrs. Schaer was officially honored with the title of Goodwill Ambassador of Aruba for her years of continued visits, loyalty, and love for the island.

The Aruba Tourism Authority, on behalf of the Minister of Tourism, presented Mrs. Schaer with a certificate as a token of appreciation for her dedication to the island, acknowledging guests who have visited Aruba for 10, 20, or 35 years or more consecutively.

There are three levels of recognition, each celebrating milestones in a visitor’s connection with the island:

  • Distinguished Visitor: 10+ years of consecutive visits to Aruba

  • Goodwill Ambassador: 20+ years of consecutive visits to Aruba

  • Emerald Ambassador: 35+ years of consecutive visits to Aruba

Mrs. Schaer was honored with the Goodwill Ambassador title after visiting Aruba for over 20 years consecutively.

The award ceremony, held at Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort, was attended by Ms. Keyttin Silva, representing the Aruba Tourism Authority, as well as staff members from the resort. Mrs. Schaer was presented with her certificate, several gifts, and heartfelt thanks for choosing Aruba as her “home away from home.”

In a heartfelt moment, Mrs. Schaer shared her top reasons for returning to Aruba year after year:

  • Aruba’s sun

  • Aruba’s beach

  • Aruba’s safety

  • Aruba’s people

  • Aruba’s food

On behalf of the Aruba Tourism Authority, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mrs. Rita Schaer for her continued visits to the “One Happy Island.” Her loyalty and love for Aruba are truly inspiring!
