If your Caribbean cruise includes a stop in Aruba, you’re in for a treat. Whether you have a few hours or an entire day, here’s how to make the most of your time in and around Oranjestad — all within walking distance or just a short taxi ride from the cruise port terminal.


Dining Options Near the Cruise Port

Start your visit with a delicious meal. Here are some great options for lunch and dinner near the port:

Renaissance Marketplace
A lively spot with a wide variety of restaurants, shops, and live entertainment. It’s also home to the Wind Creek Seaport Casino, Arcade Aruba, and 5 o’Clock Par & Chill — perfect for both kids and adults.

Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant
Located by the marina, this popular spot offers good food, great drinks, and a fun vibe. A must-visit on Taco Tuesdays.

5 o’Clock Somewhere
A rustic open-air bar at the Renaissance Marketplace with live music, light bites, and cold drinks.

El Gaucho
A local favorite known for juicy Argentine steaks, house-made sangria, and a large wine selection.
