Aruba AI training formed part of the University of Aruba’s Comprehensive Business Analysis course, according to an October 29 report by 24ora. Students in the International Financial Management minor combined company research with practical work using artificial intelligence.
Introductory lessons lead to practical workshops
Anika Stevens provided three mornings of introductory AI instruction, including prompt engineering and tools for analysts. Guest lecturer Dr. Tarek Ali of Austin, Texas, then led workshops drawing on business valuation and acquisition experience. The final day of his visit focused on algorithms and agentic AI, with students building agents and bots, the report says.
Students remain responsible for their analysis
The eight-week course, taught by Jorrit van Spaendonck and Stevens, asked four teams to examine publicly listed luxury companies and prepare credit and equity reports. Opposing teams challenged their findings. The faculty encourages AI use while requiring students to remain responsible for their work and explain which tools they used and why.
