TUI will increase its flights to Aruba from two to three per week from April 2027, with the ambition to grow further to as many as five per week in future, 24ora reported on October 28.
The development was highlighted during a visit by Minister of Tourism, Labor and Transport mr. Wendrick Cicilia to TUI’s headquarters in The Hague, together with ATA director Ronella Croes, ATA executives and ministry advisors.
A strategic partner of more than 20 years
Cicilia called TUI a strategic partner for Aruba-Europe connectivity, pointing to a relationship of more than 20 years. Route combinations with Bonaire and more direct routes are also being explored, although those are not confirmed schedules.
Through its European network, TUI also connects Aruba with markets such as Germany, Switzerland, Italy, England and Spain.
35 percent more for the European market
Aruba has allocated 35 percent more marketing and investment budget to the European market. Cicilia said European tourists stay longer, spend more and show interest in nature, culture and local experiences.
Work is also under way with ATA on a possible direct connection with Switzerland, according to the report.
The increase from two to three weekly flights takes effect in April 2027. The further growth toward five weekly flights was presented as an ambition for the future, not a confirmed schedule.
