Prime Minister Mike Eman has called for economic growth to deliver broader Caribbean prosperity as Aruba participates in a regional summit in Curaçao.
Summit centers on cooperation and shared growth
Eman is attending the Caribbean United in Excellence Summit, which runs from October 7 through October 11, 2026, in Curaçao. According to NoticiaCla, the gathering focuses on regional cooperation and shared prosperity.
The prime minister said strong tourism results and wider economic growth do not always benefit every part of the community. He appealed to the business sector to support a fairer distribution of prosperity and appropriate compensation for workers.
Aruba seeks stronger regional ties
Eman also emphasized commercial, cultural and economic links between Aruba and other Caribbean countries. His comments framed regional cooperation as one route to ensuring that growth reaches more people.
On October 9, Eman is scheduled to join a leadership panel with representatives from Curaçao, Jamaica and Suriname. The summit program also includes the planned signing of a joint declaration on October 10.
