Four institutions join the session
Leaders from SPO, EPI, EPB and OABA met October 5 to strengthen Aruba vocational education and create more internships. The Learning Cities session was supported by Education Minister Gerlien Croes.
Participants focused on structural cooperation and aligning professional-training programs with Aruba labor-market needs.
Internships framed as a bridge to work
The session treated internships as a bridge between classrooms and professional life. Organizers said practical experience can ease the transition into employment and show programs which skills employers need.
Minister links education and development
Croes said aligning vocational programs with business demand can prepare young people for local realities and support sustainable economic development. No numerical internship target or new funding was announced.
