Scol Caiquetio is putting parent participation at the center of the new school year, opening the term with a “Family Full Moon Fun Walk” through the Sero Colorado nature area.
The school’s project theme for this school year is “Family Full Moon – Growing & Shining Together Under One Moon,” reflecting its renewed emphasis on involving parents more closely in school life.
As the first activity under the initiative, the school organized the walk through the scenic nature of Sero Colorado. The main goal was to strengthen the bonds between students, parents and school staff — and to encourage participants to walk together, talk with one another, enjoy nature, relax and share a positive experience as a community.
The activity was a resounding success, with the enthusiasm and positive energy of the parents clearly felt throughout the afternoon and evening outdoors. The children themselves said they thoroughly enjoyed the experience, according to the school.
Scol Caiquetio extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the event possible — in particular the school’s own team, as well as Subway, Superfood, IBISA and Rode Kruis Aruba for their valuable cooperation and support.
