The Aruban Football Federation completed its 2026 FIFA Members Association program after an AVB referee course brought 22 officials together for five days of intensive development.
Course combined classroom and field training
The program ran from September 18 to 22 under three FIFA experts and local instructors. Sessions covered changes to the Laws of the Game, tactical fouls, handball, offside, positioning, reading play, game management and training quality.
Participants moved between classroom instruction and practical exercises with players, giving them opportunities to apply the material in game situations on the field.
Officials completed fitness and technical assessments
The 22 referees completed anthropometric measurements, the FIFA Fitness Test, technical evaluations and two video tests. The course ended with a technical and fitness review followed by an official closing session.
AVB said the annual program supports the continued development of refereeing in Aruba. Participation includes both FIFA referees and other officials considered capable of progressing to a higher level.
