The Piedra Plat Family Center Foundation presented work created during the second edition of its Let’s Act program on Saturday, September 26.
About 40 people participated on average in classes covering art, music, acting, singing, dance, painting and sewing. Organizers designed the initiative to encourage creative expression, personal development and cultural connection in Aruba.
Let’s Act program connects creativity and community
The showcase highlighted the work, dedication and creativity participants developed through the program. Beyond teaching individual art forms, the initiative aims to strengthen community ties and give people opportunities to develop their talents.
The foundation also recognized the instructors and teachers who led the classes. Their work supported participants across the program’s mix of performing, visual and practical arts.
Support keeps classes moving forward
CEDE Aruba supported the project with funding it received from the Netherlands through the Cultural Education for the Caribbean Part of the Kingdom program. Organizers said that assistance made the Aruba project possible.
Let’s Act will continue at the Piedra Plat Family Center with music, painting and dance classes. The program is also scheduled to carry on during the 2027–2028 period with support from CEDE Aruba, continuing its focus on talent, creativity and cultural expression.
