Latin American tourism to Aruba grew by more than 40% during the first seven months of 2026, according to figures shared by the Aruba Tourism Authority.
Latin American arrivals reach 183,000
Darysse Croes, ATA’s global communications manager, said Aruba received 183,000 visitors from Latin America between January and July. That compares with 127,000 during the same period in 2025.
The increase means Latin America accounted for about 18% of Aruba’s tourist arrivals during the period. Croes said the Colombian market also expanded, with 36,000 visitors arriving from Colombia compared with 34,000 a year earlier.
Air connections support the Colombian market
Croes attributed part of the Colombian growth to improved air access. Avianca, Wingo and Copa Airlines are providing more flight frequencies that make Aruba easier to reach from Colombia.
ATA said Colombian travelers visit for family holidays, romance and honeymoons, food, wellness, medical travel, visits with relatives and business.
ATA promotes higher-value, lower-impact travel
The tourism authority is positioning Aruba around hospitality, safety and experiences beyond its beaches. Its campaign emphasizes visitors who stay longer, spend more and take care of the island.
ATA is also highlighting events planned for the rest of 2026, including the Auténtico food festival in October, Aruba Fashion Week in November and family and cultural activities in December.
