A Renaissance Bridge crash in Oranjestad left a pedestrian injured on Monday night after a vehicle struck the person while they were crossing the road.
Emergency crews respond to the bridge
Police and an ambulance were dispatched after authorities received a report of an injury crash on the bridge near Renaissance Wind Creek. According to AWE24, officers determined that the driver had not noticed the pedestrian crossing the roadway.
Pedestrian taken to hospital
The pedestrian was injured by the impact and subsequent fall. Paramedics treated the person before transporting them to the hospital.
Police temporarily closed the road while officers investigated the collision.
