SAN NICOLAS, Aruba — St. Paulus Teacher Milestones are being celebrated during the 2026–2027 school year as four educators at St. Paulus School mark 25 or 30 years of service in education.
The school community and Fundacion SKOA recently recognized the four teachers for their decades of dedication to students and education in Aruba.
Juffrouw Liesje is celebrating the longest milestone among the group, marking 30 years since she began working as a teacher.
Three of her colleagues — Juffrouw Marcia, Juffrouw Vivienne and Juffrouw Giselle — are each celebrating 25 years in education.
Together, the four educators represent more than a century of combined teaching experience.
St. Paulus Teacher Milestones Recognized by SKOA
The St. Paulus Teacher Milestones were formally acknowledged during a special Mass organized as part of the recognition.
Fundacion SKOA used the occasion to thank the educators for the many years they have dedicated to teaching and supporting children.
The recognition highlighted not only the number of years they have worked in education but also the patience, commitment and care required to remain active in the profession for several decades.
For St. Paulus School, the jubilees provide an opportunity to recognize educators who have contributed to generations of students.
One Teacher Marks 30 Years
Juffrouw Liesje reflected on reaching 30 years since beginning her career as a teacher.
Three decades in education represent years of changing classrooms, new generations of students and continued developments in teaching methods and school life.
Throughout that time, teachers remain responsible for helping students develop academically while also supporting their personal and social growth.
Her 30-year milestone was recognized alongside those of her three colleagues.
Three Educators Celebrate 25 Years
Juffrouw Marcia, Juffrouw Vivienne and Juffrouw Giselle are each celebrating 25 years of teaching.
Their anniversaries also represent significant periods of service to Aruba’s education sector.
St. Paulus School’s leadership and teaching staff congratulated all four educators and thanked them for the dedication they have shown to children throughout their careers.
The school particularly recognized their patience and the care they continue to bring to their work.
School Community Expresses Appreciation
The celebration comes at the beginning of a new academic year, making the occasion an opportunity to reflect on the role experienced teachers continue to play within schools.
Long-serving educators often carry years of classroom knowledge while also adapting to new students, educational developments and changing expectations.
For colleagues and students at St. Paulus School, the jubilees provide a moment to recognize that continuity.
The St. Paulus Teacher Milestones honor Juffrouw Liesje for 30 years in education and Juffrouw Marcia, Juffrouw Vivienne and Juffrouw Giselle for 25 years each.
St. Paulus School and SKOA congratulated all four teachers and expressed appreciation for their commitment, patience and years of service to Aruba’s children.
