ORANJESTAD, Aruba — An Aruba Local Film Screening brought together more than 52 members of Adulto Activo Piedra Plat for a community outing featuring the locally produced movies “E Bruha, bruhá 1” and “E Bruha, bruhá 2.”
The group attended the screening last week at the cunucu of Ruben Croes in Sero Pita, where members had an opportunity to enjoy two films created and performed by local talent.
The productions are associated with Desiree Croes and Berea Productions and feature a cast and crew made up largely of Aruba-based performers and contributors.
Berea Productions thanked Adulto Activo Piedra Plat for supporting locally produced entertainment and showing interest in Aruba’s creative community.
Aruba Local Film Screening Brings Group Together
The Aruba Local Film Screening was organized as an enjoyable group activity for members of Adulto Activo Piedra Plat.
More than 52 people attended and watched both installments of “E Bruha, bruhá.”
The screening also gave participants an opportunity to spend time together while supporting a production created on the island.
According to information provided by Berea Productions, the films were created and performed by Desiree Croes together with a local team.
Those involved include Mirto Tromp, Yvonne Tromp, Addonsito Croes, Yolanda Croes, Ruben Croes, Edwin Duineveld, Semi Chahmi, Shajir Croes, Lelicia Tromp, Egmond Molina and Saraquita Offringa.

Berea Productions expressed appreciation to Adulto Activo Piedra Plat for choosing to include the films as part of the group’s activities.
For the production team, community screenings provide another opportunity for locally created films to reach audiences in Aruba.
The event follows other recent screenings of the two films.
Earlier in August, Centro di Bario Noord hosted “E Bruha, Bruhá 1” and “E Bruha, Bruhá 2,” attracting community members and providing another platform for the local cast and production team.
Third E Bruha, Bruhá Film Planned
The local film project is also continuing.
Berea Productions announced that filming of “E Bruha, bruhá 3” is expected to begin in September.
The third installment will continue the locally produced series following community screenings of the first two films.
Recent screenings have helped keep attention on the production as the team prepares for the next phase.
For the filmmakers, support from community organizations such as Adulto Activo Piedra Plat provides encouragement as they continue creating locally produced entertainment.
Supporting Aruba’s Local Creative Talent
The Aruba Local Film Screening also highlights how community groups can provide an audience for local actors, filmmakers and other creative professionals.
Rather than attending only international movie releases, participants were able to experience stories produced and performed by people from their own community.
Berea Productions said it appreciated the group’s decision to visit and support the productions.
With filming of “E Bruha, bruhá 3” expected to begin in September, the project is set to continue after the recent series of screenings.
For Adulto Activo Piedra Plat, the outing provided an afternoon of entertainment and social interaction while also supporting Aruba’s local film and performing arts community.
