ORANJESTAD — Aruba’s Minister Plenipotentiary Mildred Schwengle paid a courtesy visit to Hugh Adsett, Canada’s ambassador to the Netherlands, with discussions focusing on Aruba and matters of mutual interest between Aruba and Canada.
During the meeting, Schwengle provided Ambassador Adsett with an overview of Aruba and discussed topics relevant to Aruba-Canada relations.
The meeting offered an opportunity to strengthen dialogue and maintain diplomatic connections between Aruba and Canada.
Before taking up his diplomatic post in The Hague, Adsett served as Canada’s ambassador and permanent representative to the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington, D.C.
He has also held several positions within Canada’s foreign affairs and international trade institutions during his diplomatic career.
The courtesy visit reflects continued engagement aimed at maintaining and strengthening Aruba-Canada relations.
