Applications for FCCA Tanki Leendert homes will officially open online on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., giving eligible residents an opportunity to apply for one of 20 new properties.

FCCA Director Julie Wever said preparations are complete for the new housing project in Tanki Leendert.

The homes are being offered under FCCA’s “Yabi den bo man,” or “Key in Your Hand,” campaign.

Wever said FCCA has been promoting the campaign in advance so interested residents can prepare all required documentation before the online application portal opens.

Applications will be processed according to the order in which they are received.

First-Time Buyers Are Priority

According to Wever, interested residents must meet several requirements to qualify.

Applicants must have the necessary documentation, demonstrate that they are financially capable of carrying a mortgage and successfully complete the standard financial screening process.

The property must also be the applicant’s first home.

Wever emphasized that the initiative is not intended for people who already own one or several properties.

The objective is to help local residents who are trying to purchase their first home amid limited housing availability.

Rental Waiting List Is Separate

Wever also clarified that this project is separate from FCCA’s long waiting list for rental and social housing.

People on the rental waiting list are generally waiting for an FCCA rental property rather than a home for purchase.

However, someone currently on that list who believes they can financially qualify for a mortgage may also submit an online application for the Tanki Leendert project.

Applicants Must Be Aruba Residents

The project is aimed at Aruban citizens residing in Aruba.

Wever said FCCA mortgage financing is provided to residents who meet the organization’s eligibility and financial requirements.

The campaign forms part of FCCA’s effort to help reduce the housing shortage and create additional opportunities for local residents to become homeowners.

Online registration for the 20 FCCA Tanki Leendert homes opens at exactly 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Interested applicants are encouraged to have their documents prepared in advance so they can complete the registration process when applications open.
