ORANJESTAD (AAN) – GOL to End Direct Brazil–Aruba Flights in October 2026 as Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) and the Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) announced that the Brazilian airline will discontinue its scheduled nonstop service between Brazil and Aruba.
According to the announcement, GOL Linhas Aéreas will operate its final direct flight to Aruba in October 2026, bringing an end to the nonstop route that has helped strengthen air connectivity between Aruba and Brazil.
Since launching the service, GOL has played an important role in expanding travel options for passengers while supporting Aruba’s strategy to diversify its tourism markets. AAA, A.T.A., and the Ministry of Tourism expressed their appreciation to the airline for its partnership and valuable contribution to Aruba’s international air connectivity over the years.
According to GOL, the decision is part of the airline’s broader commercial strategy and is based on market conditions as well as the long-term operational and financial sustainability of its network.
The airline emphasized that ending the route does not diminish the strong partnership it has built with Aruba.
Brazil remains a strategic tourism source market for Aruba. As part of the island’s tourism diversification strategy, Aruba has invested significantly in destination marketing, strategic partnerships, and the development of sustainable air connectivity with Brazil.
Officials noted that Brazil continues to represent an important growth market, particularly because of its strong potential to attract high-value visitors.
Although GOL’s nonstop service will end in October 2026, travelers from Brazil will continue to have access to Aruba through connecting flights.
Flights from São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) to Aruba will remain available through GOL’s airline partners, while other international carriers also offer convenient connecting services between Brazil and Aruba.
AAA and A.T.A. said they remain committed to the Brazilian market and will continue working with airline partners and tourism stakeholders to strengthen air connectivity between Brazil and Aruba.
The organizations also said they will continue exploring opportunities to restore direct air service between the two destinations in the future.
