ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Prime Minister Mike Eman attended the opening night of Design Academy Aruba’s End-of-Year Exhibition 2026, where more than 100 students showcased creative projects developed throughout the academic year.
Held at the National Archaeological Museum, the exhibition featured works by students from the MBO Art & Design program, the Clay Roots Future Makers ceramics group, Scol Dun’un Man participants, and students enrolled in various Design Academy Aruba courses and workshops.
During his remarks, the Prime Minister praised the academy for nurturing Aruba’s creative talent and highlighted its recent contribution to restoring the monument honoring the 2,147 pioneers who supported Aruba’s Status Aparte movement. He commended the students and teachers for helping preserve an important part of the island’s history.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Design Academy Aruba presented the Prime Minister with a special student-created gift in appreciation of his support.
The exhibition celebrates creativity, innovation and artistic development while providing young artists with an opportunity to share their work with the community.
