ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Police responded early Thursday morning after receiving a report of a suspicious pickup truck parked behind C-Mart in Cumana.
When officers arrived, they discovered that the driver was collecting discarded materials and old equipment to use for feeding animals and salvaging items. After speaking with the driver, police instructed him to move the vehicle from the area.
However, the pickup truck failed to start. Officers advised the driver to leave the vehicle temporarily and return during daylight hours to remove it safely.
Police also informed the driver that patrol units would continue monitoring the area and keeping an eye on the unattended vehicle until it was removed.
