ORANJESTAD (AAN): Maria Pita-Dijkhoff, Director of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEACI), announced that the department has officially moved to a newly renovated building at Wilhelminastraat 7, Cas Veneranda. Previously, the department was located near Stadhuis in the Papiamento Restaurant building.
“It’s a beautiful building, a real gem, bringing a fresh atmosphere to Wilhelminastraat,” Pita-Dijkhoff said. She added that the relocation is expected to encourage other investors to continue renovating buildings in the area.
The services provided remain the same as those previously offered at Sun Plaza, including business permits which are fully accessible online. The building also houses a helpdesk on the ground floor for general information and assistance. Programs such as the Aruba Entrepreneur Development Incentive (IDEA) and the Expo Desk continue to support local and foreign investors, including training sessions that may take place in the evenings to accommodate parking limitations.
Pita-Dijkhoff emphasized that the department remains committed to serving both foreign investors and local businesses, ensuring accessibility and continued support for economic growth in Aruba.
