Club Portugues di Aruba is preparing for a night filled with music, culture, and a pleasant atmosphere during its upcoming Festival di Canto na Portugues. The event is scheduled to take place on June 6, 2026, bringing together local Portuguese community members and various talents prepared to interpret songs in the Portuguese language.
Ilidio Dumfries, board commissioner of Club Portugues, stated that enthusiasm for the event is significant. He noted that all participants are dedicating themselves to offering a strong presentation on stage. According to Dumfries, the festival represents a special opportunity to celebrate Portuguese culture and music within the Aruban community.
“Spirits are very high and every participant is putting in a lot of effort for this day. There will be a family and pleasant atmosphere where people can enjoy music in the sweet Portuguese language,” Dumfries said.
A total of nine participants are scheduled to perform various musical styles on stage. Club Portugues plans to release the official list of participants and the sequence of presentations on its social media pages in the coming days. In addition to the entertainment, visitors will be able to enjoy different traditional Portuguese plates during the night. The available dishes will include espetada, Portuguese bacalao, and the famous pastel de nata, a traditional dessert.
