The Aruba Volleyball Association (A.V.A.) has announced a new board of directors for the 2026-2027 term. During a General Members Meeting, Rubinah Bernadina was elected as the new President. Bernadina is an established figure in the local sports community and brings years of experience as a former volleyball athlete to her new role.
The new administrative structure includes several key appointments. Tamara Malmberg-Hamlet has been assigned to Public Relations and Marketing. Fatme Faarup-Rigaud will serve as the Secretary, and Tricia Werleman has been named the Treasurer. Ludwina Perez was appointed as the Commissioner for General Affairs.
Additional technical roles were also filled to support the sport’s development. Anchelino Vrolijk will serve as the Commissioner for Indoor Volleyball, while Ramon Webster will oversee Beach Volleyball and the Referee Body. Furthermore, former President Filomena Daniel-Curiel was appointed as an Honorary Member of the association.
