PALM BEACH (AAN) – A 17-year-old boy has died following a fatal shooting incident that took place in the early hours of Friday morning at a parking lot in Palm Beach. Authorities received an emergency call at approximately 1:18 a.m. reporting that a young man had been shot at the Fat Tuesday establishment and was unresponsive.
Law enforcement and ambulance personnel were immediately dispatched to the location with urgency. Upon arrival, officers found the victim displaying no signs of life. Although ambulance personnel made every effort to save him, regrettably there was nothing more that could be done, and the youth was declared deceased at the scene. Subsequently, members of the Recherche and technical police arrived to secure the area and begin a comprehensive investigation into the shooting.
The victim was later identified by his family as Rayden K.A. Kock, born in Aruba on July 3, 2008. He was only 17 years old. The Department of Victim Support (Slachtofferhulp) is providing support to the family and relatives affected by this tragedy.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward. Authorities requested that witnesses or individuals with knowledge of the event contact the police tipline at 11141. Police emphasized that all calls will remain completely anonymous.
