ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Police and ambulance personnel responded Tuesday night to a traffic accident involving injuries at the Sabana Liber intersection in Aruba.
Authorities reported that a vehicle traveling without headlights caused another driver to suddenly stop in order to avoid a collision.
According to the investigation, the driver of a Nissan Frontier pickup noticed the unlit vehicle approaching and stopped at the intersection to avoid impact. Moments later, a Jeep Cherokee traveling behind the pickup collided with it.
The driver of the vehicle without headlights reportedly continued driving away from the scene after the incident.
Due to the strong collision, two people sustained injuries during the accident.
Paramedics treated both victims at the scene while police continued investigating the hit-and-run incident.
