ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) and the Aruba Workers’ Federation (FTA) have officially signed a new Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) effective from 2026 through 2028. The agreement was formalized by A.T.A. CEO Ronella Croes and FTA President José Figaroa, solidifying the terms of employment for the organization’s staff for the coming years.

This new CAO affirms a continued strategic focus on employee well-being. It introduces several modern benefits, including flexible work arrangements, comprehensive wellness programs, and gym memberships. These additions are designed to support the physical and mental health of the workforce while adapting to evolving professional standards.

A central feature of the updated contract is the introduction of an “Individual Choice Budget” (Individueel Keuze Budget). This initiative provides employees with an annual financial allocation that they can manage based on their specific personal needs. The budget covers a wide range of expenses, such as educational costs, childcare, vehicle license plate fees, professional training courses, or extra vacation days.

Representatives from both parties highlighted that the negotiations were conducted in a constructive and respectful atmosphere. The primary goal shared by the A.T.A. and the FTA was to fortify labor conditions and introduce meaningful flexibility for employees, ensuring a sustainable and motivated workforce within the tourism authority.
