The Departamento Practico di Examen Rijbewijs has announced the relocation of its operations from Santa Cruz to Playa. Effective Monday, May 18, 2026, all driver’s license examination services will be conducted at the new facility to better serve the community.
The decision follows a strike initiated by workers last month over concerns regarding the building’s deteriorating condition. Sindicato SPA supported the staff, emphasizing that the current state of the facility in Santa Cruz significantly compromised both safety and operational efficiency.
To ensure continuity of service, the department is transferring operations to Dominicanessenstraat 33. This new location in Playa, previously occupied by Doc Opleiding, will serve as the central hub for all licensing procedures starting this coming Monday.
