ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The National Library of Aruba has received the new Papiamento children’s book “Max y e taki encanta” written by Tanchi Esme.
The book is another imaginative story filled with meaningful messages for children. It talks about different fruits that grow on Aruba and follows the adventures of Max in a magical world.
“Tanchi Esme” is the affectionate name of author Esmeralda Tromp-Jacobs, who has participated several times in the Children’s Book Festival. The colorful and beautifully illustrated book features artwork by Gairo Tromp.
The National Library expressed happiness about adding another publication to its youth collection. The collection of Papiamento children’s books continues growing, offering more reading opportunities for young readers in Aruba.
The book was published with financial support from UNOCA and Setar N.V. Graphic design for the production was created by Sheila Werleman, while Marlon van der Linde handled the Papiamento language corrections.
Tanchi Esme shared a special message for parents and adults:
“All children live in their own fantasy world. Adults should never stop them from enjoying their childhood. Let their minds explore their own magical world.”
Readers can learn more about Tanchi Esme’s books through the library’s website or by visiting the library.
