ORANJESTAD (AAN) – In an important step toward improving access to labor information and guidance, the new “Tienda Legal Laboral” was officially inaugurated Monday afternoon at MFA Savaneta.
During the event, Prime Minister Mike Eman expressed appreciation for the initiative and highlighted the importance of bringing government services closer to the community.
According to the Prime Minister, the opening of the office represents a concrete way to provide the public with better access to important labor rights information while also creating a space for guidance and support.
“This type of service is essential for our community because it contributes to greater awareness and can also help prevent labor conflicts at an early stage,” Eman stated.
He emphasized that access to accurate information is key to strengthening workers’ positions and creating a healthier work environment where dialogue can take place before situations escalate.
The initiative, led by Minister of Tourism, Transport and Labor Wendrick Cicilia, focuses on offering an accessible location where employees can receive labor-related guidance, information, and assistance.
During his speech, Prime Minister Eman praised the vision behind the project and described it as an example of how public services can adapt to meet the real needs of the community.
Eman also recognized the contribution and presence of social partners, including labor unions and business sector representatives, as important elements in strengthening social dialogue within Aruba.
The opening of the Tienda Legal Laboral in Savaneta forms part of a broader effort to decentralize government services and bring public assistance closer to citizens while creating opportunities for greater interaction, knowledge, and prevention.
