ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Over the course of two weeks, students from preschool, primary, and secondary schools participated in Weganan Escolar 2026, a sporting competition organized to promote sportsmanship, friendship, and positivity among Aruba’s youth.
A total of 42 schools took part, including 12 primary schools, 19 basic schools, and 11 secondary schools. Students competed in several disciplines such as football, volleyball, kickball, Kid’s Athletic, and WE Mente.
The top-performing schools advanced to the final rounds of the competition.
IBiSA was responsible for organizing, coordinating, and managing the logistics of the sporting event. Stichting Fundacion Lotto pa Deporte expressed satisfaction in contributing to the success of Weganan Escolar and emphasized the importance of healthy sports activities for Aruba’s children and youth.
Lotto also highlighted that proceeds from its games directly support local sports and funding for athletic activities across Aruba.
