Restaurants Across Aruba Prepare Special Menus for King’s Day Celebrations

Restaurants across Aruba are rolling out special menus and exclusive offers for King’s Day (Dia di Rey) on April 27, giving locals and visitors alike plenty of ways to celebrate the Dutch royal holiday with food and drinks. From beachfront breakfasts to three-course dinners, the island’s dining scene has something for every budget and taste.

Breakfast and Brunch Options

Several restaurants are kicking off the celebrations early with breakfast specials. Kokoa is serving a King’s Day breakfast plate from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM for $20 per person, featuring an orange donut, pastechi, scrambled eggs, bacon, poffertjes, fresh fruit, and a mimosa.

Matthew’s Beachside Restaurant offers a breakfast buffet in a relaxed beach setting from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, priced at $26.50 per person and $16.50 for children under 10. Reservations are required, and a 15% service charge applies.

Local Discounts

Two popular spots are offering special deals for Aruba residents. Matt’s Brew & Go provides 20% off all beverages and Starbucks pastries on April 27 for locals who present a valid local ID. Fishes & More extends a 20% discount on food and drinks during evening hours for locals with valid ID, covering seafood and grilled dishes. This offer cannot be combined with other promotions, and reservations are recommended.

Dinner Specials

Salt & Pepper is serving its Early Bird menu all evening on King’s Day. For $28.50, diners can choose three tapas or a rack of spareribs with sides and a glass of sangria. A couples’ deal at $59 includes six tapas or two portions of spareribs plus a pitcher of sangria.

Tango presents a three-course King’s Day dinner for $45 per person. The meal begins with traditional Dutch erwtensoep (pea soup), followed by a choice of Tango Filet Mignon or Tango Mixed Grill, and finishes with apple pie served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
