The Department of Social Affairs (DAS) provides guidance and support to family members who are experiencing challenging moments in their lives. Among other services, DAS offers social guidance, financial support, legal counsel, and psychosocial and emotional support for individuals and families.

Last year, DAS underwent significant changes, including a rebranding and relocation of offices. Currently, DAS operates out of three locations: Caya Mario E. Harms 11, Savaneta 6, and MFA Noord. These changes were made to increase accessibility and provide clients with convenient office locations near their districts.

DAS also wanted to highlight the ongoing San Nicolas building renovation DAS, known as the “hospital bieu,” which continues to provide services to clients. The building is currently in the early stages of the renovation process. While this renovation will take time, it is expected to yield long-term benefits. In the meantime, DAS remains committed to its mission of promoting well-being for all residents.
