ORANJESTAD (AAN): On Saturday night at the Aruba Carnival & Entertainment Center in San Nicolas, singer Roderick “Rocco” Franken took the stage and competed with his powerful song “Decreto Oficial” during the Festival di Tumba 2026.

The Tumba impressed both the audience and the judging panel with its perfect combination of rhythm, music, and composition. The crowd immediately responded with enthusiasm, and the strong performance clearly resonated with the jury as well.

At exactly 2:24 a.m. on Sunday morning, Rocco Franken was officially announced as Rey di Tumba 2026, triggering loud cheers from the audience as he stepped forward to be crowned.

The first runner-up was Jorienne Angela with the song “Tene Wanta den Gloria”, while second runner-up went to Chantal Quant with “Aruba Alerta”.

Additional awards presented during the evening included Best Costume, won by Jorienne Angela; Most Popular Singer, awarded to Edgar “Poppy” Kock; and Rookie of the Year, which went to Chantal Quant.

The song “Decreto Oficial” also earned awards for Best Composition and Best Arrangement, both announced before the Rey di Tumba title. These wins led many in attendance to predict Rocco Franken’s victory—an expectation that was ultimately fulfilled.
