Airport Resumes Operations After Flight Cancellations

ORANJESTAD (AAN):
On Saturday, Queen Beatrix International Airport announced that it expected airport operations to return to normal on Sunday, January 4, 2026, following a series of flight cancellations.

On Saturday, out of 58 scheduled arriving and departing flights, a total of 44 flights were canceled, including 38 flights from the United States and 7 flights from other countries. Aruba Airport is working closely with airline partners and airport authorities to accommodate affected passengers in a safe and efficient manner.

As a result, airport officials anticipate a busier-than-normal operational day on Sunday, as Saturday had originally been expected to be a peak travel day, commonly referred to as “Super Saturday.” That day was scheduled to handle 58 flights and approximately 15,000 passengers.

Passengers with confirmed flights are advised to arrive at the airport on time for their scheduled departures. Passenger flow control measures will remain in effect to ensure safe, secure, and orderly operations.

Passengers whose flights were canceled on Saturday, as well as travelers without a confirmed flight, are strongly advised not to come to the airport and to contact their airline directly for rebooking and travel arrangements.

Aruba Airport will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary. Passengers are encouraged to check directly with their airline and visit www.airportaruba.com for the most up-to-date flight information.

Aruba Airport thanked all airport partners in advance for their cooperation and continued support while working toward a safe and orderly return to normal operations.
