A serious hit-and-run accident occurred on Saturday night shortly after 7:50 PM on Caya Musica, heading north toward Bubali, leaving two pedestrians injured.

Emergency calls quickly came in to Police Central, prompting the dispatch of police units from Noord, Oranjestad, and Santa Cruz, along with two ambulances from the Emergency Alarm Center.

The first police unit to arrive found two individuals lying on the roadside, just off the roadway in an area with tall grass and little to no sidewalk. The victims had been struck with such force that they were thrown several meters apart.

The vehicle involved did not stop and fled the scene, making this a hit-and-run case. Witnesses reported seeing a black pickup truck traveling north toward the Bubali roundabout near Bubali Food Center immediately after the impact.

Paramedics provided emergency care at the scene. One victim sustained serious injuries, while the second suffered less severe injuries, though both required urgent medical attention and were transported to the Emergency Department at the hospital.

Traffic police specialists and the BFTO forensic team arrived to document the scene. Authorities are currently reviewing security camera footage from the area in an effort to identify the suspect vehicle.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who knows of a black pickup truck with front-end damage appearing late Saturday night or early Sunday morning to contact the Police Tip Line at 111-41. Anonymous tips are accepted.

As of Sunday afternoon, no update had been released regarding the condition of the victims.
