The well-known community initiative ‘Tayo riba Mesa’ will have a special edition this Christmas season. To support families in need, the One Happy Island Lions Club is organizing a large food collection, inviting the entire community of Aruba to contribute.

Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, hygiene products, personal care items, and gifts for children. Once again, the Lions Club is leading efforts to gather essential goods for vulnerable families during the holiday period. The organization is calling on the public to help fill food bags that will be distributed to households with limited resources.

The food drive will take place on:

    🕙 From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
📍 Centro Kibrahacha in Piedra Plat, located just above Bright Bakery heading north. Everyone is urged to stop by and make a donation.

Suggested donations include:

  • Non-perishable foods: rice, flour, canned goods, soup, cereal, pasta, milk, biscuits, juice, and more
  • Personal & hygiene products: deodorant, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, Q-tips, etc.
  • Basic household items: disinfectant, toilet paper, detergent, dishwashing products, and more
  • Children’s gifts and any other type of support for families

The goal of the initiative is to help fight hunger during the festive season. All donated goods will be used to prepare food packages for families facing difficult circumstances. Every contribution made goes directly to a family’s table, offering comfort and relief during the holidays.

Businesses and individuals are encouraged to join this act of kindness, as each donation can make a meaningful difference in the life of a family in need.

Additionally, supporters will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a Harley-Davidson prize.
