Today, the Court of Justice is handling a criminal case where the Public Prosecutor has filed charges against a man identified by the initials S.R.K. This case has attracted attention as S.R.K. was a former chauffeur for ex-Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes.
Sexual Abuse of a Minor: One of the accusations the Public Prosecutor will present in court against the 59-year-old former chauffeur, S.R.K., is that he sexually abused a girl under the age of 16. The court will determine whether the sexual abuse occurred with one minor or possibly two minors involved in this situation.
Possession of Firearms: In the same case, another charge the prosecutor will present is that between 2015 and May 2023, S.R.K. was in possession of six firearms.
Witness Testimonies: As is known, in June 2025, the court made a decision regarding the request made by defense lawyer Mr. Rosenstand, regarding the investigation he wanted to conduct before proceeding with the case.
The judge rejected the petition to release S.R.K. and ordered him to remain in custody. He will be transported from KIA prison to the Court of Justice for further hearings.
Regarding the request to hear six witnesses, the judge decided to hear four witnesses, including three women and one man. The judge also ruled that the case would be forwarded to the Commissioner, who will hear the witnesses.
As for the petition to return the six firearms to the shooting practice organization, the judge rejected this request. The judge stated that the result of the criminal case must be awaited.
