ORANJESTAD — A technical team from WEB Aruba N.V. recently conducted a site visit to CST Industries in Chicago to gain deeper insight into the production process of steel floor panels for the ongoing Tanki Alto Vista project.
The visit offered the team a comprehensive view of the production line, starting from the cutting of raw steel sheets to the quality control procedures. This stage is crucial as it ensures the surface meets the necessary standards before the glass coating (Vitrium™ – White Titanium Dioxide) is applied to protect the steel.
The team also toured the on-site laboratory, where various tests are conducted on each roll of metal and every batch of glass coating. All procedures adhere to ISO 28765 international standards, ensuring the highest level of durability and safety.
One of the highlights of the visit was a live demonstration of the installation process, showcasing the technical precision required during assembly and detailing the critical aspects for successful integration of the panels.
The team returned to Aruba satisfied with the progress and insights gained, emphasizing that all objectives of the site visit were met. Both Florida Aqua Store (main contractor) and CST Industries are working diligently to expedite delivery and aim to ship the steel panels ahead of the original schedule.
