Today, November 20th, marks an important global observance: International Children’s Rights Day.
This day serves as a powerful reminder that every child—without exception—has the right to grow up with love, safety, education, and respect. Aruba, though a small island with a big heart, shares the responsibility of safeguarding its most precious treasures: our children.
In a world that is changing faster than ever, our young people must feel heard. They must know they can dream big, develop their talents freely, and grow without fear, abuse, or discrimination. Children’s rights form the foundation for creating strong, compassionate citizens who will one day contribute to a more just and caring Aruba.
Protecting our children means protecting our future—and the future of our island. Investing in their well-being is not optional; it is essential. Our children have a voice. We must listen to them.
This is a commitment that requires unity from the entire nation, so that together we can continue building a world where every child can flourish with dignity, hope, and opportunity
