ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Motor Unit Detains 9 Drivers for DUI After Grand Parade in Oranjestad following traffic control operations carried out across various roads in Aruba.
The police motor unit conducted targeted traffic checks focused on detecting drivers operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol after the Grand Parade in Oranjestad.
Controls were conducted before, during, and after the parade to ensure public safety. During these operations, several drivers were stopped and tested. In total, nine individuals were detained for driving under the influence.
Police also noted that in 2025, a total of 13 DUI-related detentions were recorded during similar Carnival operations.
The Cuerpo Policial Aruba continues to emphasize road safety and reminds the public to act responsibly, especially during major public events.
