Miss Teen Aruba International Tara van der Werk Promotes Animal Rights Awareness

Miss Teen Aruba International 2025, Tara van der Werk, who is also the new Arubiano Brand Ambassador, continues to raise awareness about the rights and care of dogs and cats on the island.

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the local brand Arubiano Awareness, Tara announced a campaign dedicated to protecting, caring for, and respecting Aruba’s pets and stray animals. Together with the brand, she will promote responsible pet ownership, highlight the challenges faced by abused and abandoned animals, and encourage adoption from shelters.

This month, Tara volunteered at the Veterinary Clinic Aruba, where she witnessed firsthand the dedication of veterinarians and the love Arubans have for their pets. She described both the difficult and uplifting cases she saw—animals arriving in poor condition but recovering to full health thanks to proper care.

Last Friday, Tara donated Arubiano caps to the clinic to help raise funds for families with limited resources needing veterinary assistance. She emphasized the importance of community involvement, urging people to:

  1. Be responsible pet owners and provide love and safety.
  2. Support local foundations by adopting stray dogs and cats.
  3. Report cases of abuse so they can be properly addressed.

Tara concluded: “Together we can do so much for our pets and for those animals still waiting for a loving home.
