A lively and well-attended Youth Carnival Queen election took place Saturday night at the Aruba Carnival & Entertainment Village in San Nicolas, marking a festive highlight of the Carnival season.
The evening featured several changes in format, but the competition itself proceeded smoothly. The event combined the election of the Youth Carnival Queen with the selection of Mrs. Carnival, creating an energetic and diverse program.
Youth candidates impressed the audience and judges with their presentations, speeches, costumes, and stage performances. The show included dynamic audio editing and visual backdrops, contributing to a polished and engaging experience.
At the conclusion of the competition, Kyra Jong, representing Dushi Carnaval Group, was crowned Youth Carnival Queen 72. She received her crown from Minister Wendrick Cicilia.
The title of First Runner-Up was awarded to Brooke Lockhart of Kiwanis Builders Club MPC/TOB Carnival Group, while Second Runner-Up went to Anwizyann “Zizi” Geerman, representing HEPA DMC Society/Filomena College MAVO.
Several special awards were also presented during the evening. The Popular Youth Carnival Queen title went to Zizi Geerman. Best Speech was awarded to Kyra Jong, Best Show to Brooke Lockhart, and Best Costume to Zizi Geerman.
