The Aruban government officially ushered in the Christmas and holiday season with a symbolic lighting ceremony at the Bestuurskantoor (Government Building) in Oranjestad over the weekend.
To capture the festive spirit, the building was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and ornaments, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity. At 7 p.m., Prime Minister Mike Eman, accompanied by Minister Wendrick Cicilia, lit the Christmas lights, marking the beginning of a season filled with hope, gratitude, and love for others.
The event also featured a touching moment with William Bergen Barlow, a young visitor from Ontario, Canada, whose trip to Aruba was made possible through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The lighting ceremony served as a reminder to continue spreading kindness, unity, and compassion within the community. Each shining light symbolizes the hope for a brighter future for Aruba and all its people.
In closing, the Government of Aruba extended its warm wishes to all citizens for a season of peace, love, and prosperity, inviting everyone to celebrate the holidays with togetherness and respect.
